A big congratulations to Medela mum, Kim, for reaching her 12-month breastfeeding goal with the gorgeous Coby! Thank you for sharing your journey with us and other Aussie mums.
Coby turned 7-months-old recently and we marked this milestone with a trip to the USA with my Mum. I’m trying to make the most of my maternity leave and accompanying Mum to her friend’s memorial service was special for both of us.
Coby is 6 months old and he will be one before I know it. I want to make an extra effort to take in every moment (well maybe just the good ones!) I will be back at work before I know it.
We have had several “firsts” the last few weeks… both good and bad. There are so many little milestones and I’m trying to remember them all.
After battling with silent reflux for the last few months and almost deciding to stop breastfeeding, we have turned a big corner. It seems as though the Bio Gaia probiotics and/or the dietary changes I made have helped.
21 weeks have passed and Coby is nearly 5 months old (3 months corrected age). Since my last entry, we’ve had a lot on.
14 weeks have past and Coby is now 6 weeks old (corrected age). He’s cracked the 5kg mark and is full of smiles a lot of the time. He’s doing really well and sleeping at night, which is a blessing!
It’s been exactly 4 months today since Coby decided to join us… a little early. I marked the occasion by going to the office for some meetings. This was a part of my employers “keeping in touch” program, for mums on maternity leave.
It’s been 12-weeks since Coby arrived. We are now settled into post summer holidays life with Coby and myself at home, Charlie back at school and Stu at work.
I’m officially a stay at home mum for the next year and plan to enjoy this time. Coby is well over four kilograms and ticking all the regular newborn boxes.
Coby is two months old today and has been home for over four weeks now. How time flies!
On his due date, he weighed 3.46kg and was 50cm long. This means he’s really caught up in size, which is fantastic.
He’s started smiling a lot and enjoys having floor and tummy time. He is even big enough to go in a bouncer and has little rolls on his legs, which are super cute.
